Bus Facility and Student Safety Rules
To ensure the safety and comfort of every child, DPS Amravati follows a well-defined transport policy. These guidelines help maintain punctuality, discipline, and secure travel for all students using the school bus facility.
General Guidelines:
- Transport is Optional: The school transport facility is optional and based on availability of seats.
- Bus Routes & Stops: Buses operate on fixed routes with designated stops. Changes require written approval from the Transport Incharge.
- Timely Arrival: Students must reach the stop 5 - 10 minutes before the bus arrives.
- Designated Bus Use Only: Students must use only their assigned bus and stop. No switching is allowed without permission.
- Safety First: Students must remain seated, keep aisles clear, and avoid leaning out of windows.
- Authorized Pickup Only: Parents or authorized escorts must show ID or escort card at the drop point. Otherwise, the student will be returned to school.

Behavior Expectations:
- No Shouting or Rough Play: Unruly behavior, shouting, or distracting the driver is prohibited.
- Respect Staff: Students and parents must not argue with bus staff. Any concerns should be escalated to the Transport Manager.
- Cleanliness & Courtesy: No littering, no eating, and no throwing objects inside or outside the bus.
Consequences:
- Repeated Misconduct: Students misbehaving or being late consistently (3+ times) may lose bus privileges.
- Bus Rules Violation: Serious or repeated violations may result in cancellation of the transport facility.
Administrative Rules:
- Fee Policy: Bus fee is charged quarterly and must be paid on time. No refunds are provided except for transfer cases.
- Route Change or Withdrawal: Any permanent route change requires a written application and may incur administrative charges.
- Breakdowns/Emergencies: The school will try to resolve breakdowns or delays, but parents may have to manage pick-up in rare cases.
